The defender, who had just arrived from playing for the Ghana national team and had barely been able to train with his teammates, went off injured at the end of the first half of the match that Celta was playing at Sanchez Pizjuan against Sevilla.

The player noticed a puncture in his right leg and requested the change to the bench. Coudet decided to play Nestor Araujo.

On Monday it seemed that everything had been a scare. Aidoo participated in the recovery training designed by the coaching staff at Madroa with the rest of the players who had played against Sevilla a few hours before. The club posted some images in which the Aidoo looked fit.

A day later, on Tuesday November 24, Celta de Vigo issued a medical report specifying that Joseph Aidoo suffers a fibrillar micro-tear in the middle adductor muscle of his right leg that forced him to train individually. The diagnosis made him, immediately, in doubt for the game against Granada although without ruling out his presence.

Celta posted again in a video how Aidoo worked individually in the afternoon of this past Wednesday at Madroa to outline his set-up.

The former Inter Allies player performed different sprint and stop exercises to recover from the muscular discomfort he suffers and thus be present this Sunday in Balaidos.
