Joey Barton will be available for selection ahead of Burnley's trip to Anfield this weekend after his Football Association hearing into betting charges were postponed.

The midfielder, 34,has already accepted a misconduct charge relating to 1,260 bets over a 10-year period. However, the FA commission didn't meet on Wednesday as planned and a new date will now have to be set.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, the ex-Newcastle manis facing the threat of a lengthy suspension, but he is expected to line up against the Reds.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche said, viaLiverpool Echo: It was something to do with himself and the FA so we'll have to wait and see what happens with that.

That's for him and his team to take on with the FA and see how it comes out. I don't fear anything because I don't know what's going to happen.

As much as we get on really well I don't sit him down and go: ˜What do you want to do?' He's his own man. He'll make his own way.

Burnley face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday as they look to record the double over them having already won at Turf Moor back in August where Sam Vokes and Andre Gray scored in the 2-0 victory.
