The owner of Proud United, Jojo Duncan has reiterated his opposing stands against the decision by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to make the Division One League an 18-club competition as he stresses that they are being insensitive.

A communique from the Ghana FA last week announced that they are commencing plans to reduce the number of participating clubs in the division from the 48 to 18.

They say it is in accordance with Article 81(6) of the GFA statutes which state that: “The number of delegates representing the Division One League shall be reduced to 18 (down from the current 48) at the latest by the end of the second football season following the adoption of these Statues.”

Speaking to Skyy FM today, Jojo Duncan who owns a Division One club has noted that the move shows how insensitive the country’s football governing body is.

“Teams have struggled for years to get to this level and within a twinkle of an eye, the GFA is saying that value or investment is no longer tenable.

“I think they are being insensitive”, the Proud United owner said.
