Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew has indicated that he is hoping for a better season with English Premier League side Crystal Palace after securing a permanent move on Friday.

The former Olympic Marseille man completed his anticipated transfer to the Palace from Swansea City after enjoying a successful period at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament with the Black Stars.

He has penned a three-year deal with the Eagles on a fee worth £3 million and is expected to lead the lines for the side in the upcoming season.

Speaking in his first interview after completing the deal, Jordan Ayew admitted that his loan spell with the side the last term was not the best but he is hoping to repay the faith the club has shown in him to ensure they have a successful campaign in 2019/2020.

“Last season wasn’t the best season for me. I know I can do much better but if he club wanted to keep me it means they have faith in me and that’s what pushed me to come here and stay here”, the attacker said.

He further stated that he enjoyed his time at Palace last season and is happy to be back with the group for another challenge in his career.

“I enjoyed myself here last season. The most thing was for me to come back here and to continue my journey with Crystal Palace”.

“Finally am here and am happy to be here”, Ayew said.
