Roy Hodgson has delivered positive news for Crystal Palace's fans on the availability of Jordan Ayew for the upcoming clash against Sheffield United.

The Ghanaian forward, who recently showcased his skills in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations for the senior national team, is set to make his eagerly anticipated return to club football tonight at Selhurst Park.

The former Swansea City forward scored two goals and assisted one at the ongoing 2023 AFCON.

Hodgson, speaking ahead of the 20:00 GMT kick-off, revealed that Ayew is not only back from international duty but is also in good form and ready to be considered for selection against The Blades.

This comes as a boost for Crystal Palace, who look to leverage Ayew's prowess to secure a positive outcome in this English Premier League encounter.

“He’s back. The thing about Jordan is he’s not been away injured, he’s been away playing for his national team. He’s come back in good shape and ready to play so he’s available from the start," Hodgson said.

The 32-year-old has made 19 appearances, scored two goals, and assisted five in the Premier League this season.
