Jordan Ayew scores late to snatch a win for Crystal Palace against West Ham United

Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew has emerged as the hero for his Crystal Palace today after scoring the winning goal that helped them beat West Ham United in the English Premier League. 

The two to-flight clubs were in action this afternoon to honour a date on boxing day in what was a match week 19 fixture at the Selhurst Park. As expected, the Black Stars striker was handed a role in Roy Hodgson's team to lead the attack of the Eagles.

The first half of the match ended goallessl but an improved display in the early minutes of the second half saw West Ham United taking the lead on the 57th minute through Robert Snodgrass who was assisted by Machail Antonio.

With the home side now in trouble, they upped their game and looked for an equalizer until they drew level on the 68th minute courtesy a fine goal from Cheikhou Kouyate.

On the 90th minute, Jordan Ayew who provided the assist for his team's first goal netted an important goal that helped Crystal Palace to emerge as 2-1 winners at the end of an exciting 90 minutes of soccer action.
