Jordan Ayew’s first goal was very important for our win against Tranmere — Leicester manager Steve Cooper

Leicester City manager, Steve Cooper was full of praise for Ghana striker Jordan Ayew on Tuesday night after the massive win over Tranmere in the EFL Cup.

The  Black Stars striker scored a stunning goals in the 4-0 win as the Foxes progressed to the next round of the Cup competition.

Speaking in a post-match interview, manager Steve Cooper said Jordan Ayew’s goal was very important for his side.

“It (Ayew’s goal) was really important in the game because we needed attacking players to do something to make a difference. He did that. He had a good impact in the game, scored, got the right amount of minutes and that’s something we would have written if we could have planned it,” the Leicester City manager said.

Steve Cooper continued, “He’s obviously an experienced player and he’ll be determined to do well for us now in the Premier League. He was so keen to come here and we look forward to involving him and we’re going to need him alongside everyone else as well.”

After opening his goal scoring account for Leicester City, Jordan Ayew will be hoping to score more for the club in upcoming matches.
