Former Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC head coach Maxwell Konadu has expressed admiration for legendary football managers Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti, naming them as his coaching idols.

Konadu, a highly respected figure in Ghanaian football circles, previously served as the assistant coach for Ghana’s national team before embarking on a successful managerial career.

Having managed several Ghanaian clubs, including Legon Cities, Konadu recently achieved success by guiding Nsoatreman FC to victory in the Ghana FA Cup.

His achievements caught the attention of South African club Black Leopards FC, where he recently took up a new coaching role.

In a candid Q&A session with 3Sports, Konadu highlighted Mourinho and Ancelotti as his coaching inspirations.

He also singled out Sulley Muntari, Andre Ayew, Asamoah Gyan, and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu as the standout players he has had the privilege to manage.

Now at Black Leopards FC, Konadu is focused on leading the team back to the top flight of South African football, following their 10th-place finish in the Division One League last season.

His illustrious coaching career includes previous successes such as winning the Ghana Premier League and the President’s Cup with Asante Kotoko.
