Joseph Aidoo, Attamah Lawerh arrive in Black Stars camp; Number of players now 20

Joseph Aidoo and Joseph Attamah Lawerh have reported to the camp of the Black Stars ahead of the crucial meeting with Sudan on Thursday in the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament. 

Ghana is set to face off with Sudan in the international break in a double-header encounter where both countries will be keen on picking up maximum points to enhance their positions on the standings of Group C.

As confirmed by footballghana.com earlier today, only 16 Black Stars players trained at the Cape Coast Stadium yesterday. In the early hours of today, goalkeeper Richard Ofori and midfielder Clifford Aboagye joined the team, taking the number to 18.

Subsequently, this afternoon, defender Joseph Aidoo and defensive midfielder Joseph Attamah Lawerh have also arrived in the Black Stars camp to give the team a major squad boost.

Later in the evening, all 20 players in camp will hold a final training session to wrap up preparations for the first tie against Sudan in the qualifiers to the next AFCON tournament.

The clash will be staged at the Cape Coast Stadium and will kick off at 16:00GMT.
