Joseph Attamah Lawerh delighted as Fatih Karagümrük secure promotion to Turkish Süper Lig

Ghanaian defender Joseph Attamah Lawerh has expressed his excitement after helping Fatih Karagümrük secure promotion to the Turkish Süper Lig for the first time in 36 years.

The 26-year-old lasted the entire duration of the game as he converted a spot-kick to help his side beat Adana Demirspor 6-5 on penalties on Friday.

Cagri Ortakaya opened the scoring for Karagümrük in the 40th minute of the game but Adana Demirspor drew level after the recess courtesy Pa Amat Dibba's strike.

At the end of the penalty shootout, Fatih Karagümrük beat Adana Demirspor 6-5 to send them to the Turkish Süper Lig next season.

The Ghanaian joined Fatih Karagümrük in the Turkish second-tier in the January on loan from İstanbul Başakşehir.
