According to reports, Ashgold is chasing Joseph Esso as the club strengthens their squad ahead of their participation in the 2020-2021 CAF Confederation Cup.

In an interview with Kumasi-based local radio station Fox FM, CEO Emmanuel Frimpong poured cold water on the rumours stating categorically that the Obuasi-based club has not made any official approach for the attacker.
“It’s not true that we have approached him (Joseph Esso). It’s never true,”

Esso is currently holding talks with the management of Hearts of Oak over a possible contract extension amid offers from overseas.
