Joseph Paintsil named Man of the Match after stellar display for Genk against RWD Molenbeek

Ghana forward Joseph Paintsil won the Man of the Match award for his performance with Genk in the match against RWD Molenbeek on matchday one of the Belgium Pro League at the Edmond Machtens Stadium on Saturday.

The 25-year-old provided two assists as Genk secured a 4-0 victory away from home.

He assisted Gambia forward Alieu Fadera in opening the scoring after 30 minutes into the game.

Bryan Heynen added the second goal seven minutes later, and then Daniel Muñoz scored the third in the 44th minute, giving Genk a 3-0 advantage going into the break.

Joseph Paintsil later assisted the fourth goal in the 70th minute to seal the game.

As a result of his fine display on the day, he was named Man of the Match.

Scouts from French Ligue 1 side Lille were reportedly at the venue to watch the game as they explore the possibility of signing him this summer.

Clubs from the Premier League and others are also said to be monitoring him after his outstanding performance of 17 goals and 11 assists last season.
