Owner and bankroller of Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer, has stated that the Sports Minister had to intervene after winger Joseph Paintsil's name was cancelled on three occasions from the list of players going to the Afcon.

The in-form 24-year-old winger has been reportedly dropped from Black Stars' final 26-man squad for the Mundial scheduled to be hosted in Qatar.

Paintsil has so far been involved in 11 goals in the ongoing Belgian League season.

"yes someone prompted him that there is this name that the coach has brought three times. All the instances the name was cancelled. Black Stars game all were cancelled things are happening," he said on Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com

"Why would you subject Ghana to that way the coach has a serious influence apart from that Sulemana Kamaldeen he will never be dropped from the Black Stars. It wont happen even when he is injured he will be told to come and sit on the bench. The reason is that his agency has recordings that took place were I sit as someone that contest for the FA presidency I hear a lot of things. Someone will call and talk then I rubbish it,"
