Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he is still planning some significant changes to his squad at the end of the season, despite Saturday's 3-1 win over top four rivals Arsenal.

The former Dortmund boss admitted that he had spoken harshly to his squad after last week's Monday night defeat at the hands of Leicester andtold the mediathat although the Arsenal result showed the potential quality of his side, summer changes remain likely.

Asked if he was still planning to be 'ruthless' at the end of the season, he replied:I never say ruthless, but I understand the question. And it's a good question, because after the last game I was low, angry, whatever... and I am not angry in this moment.

If we judge the players after the best game of the season, then we sign a contract [with every one of them] for another six seasons. If we do it after Leicester then you change the whole squad. But the truth is always in between."

I found a few words, and it was not asking for friendship. The next day we analysed and it was not much fun for me when we did it and for the boys when they saw it.

"I don't want to make it too philosophical, it is obviously the case we are inconsistent.I know we don't have to doubt the attitude, and the kind of attitude we usually are looking for was here against Arsenal - they were really motivated, and you cannot play like this if you have any issues.

But we struggled in other games. So, okay, you say it is about quality, and sometimes probably yeah, we don't have the quality. But with quality you have potential, and you make quality with work and all that stuff."
