German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen has announced that they have completed the signing of Ghanaian international Jeremie Frimpong.

Born in the Netherlands, the youngster in the last couple of years has significantly improved his game to become one of the most sought-after full-backs.

As reported by footballghana.com last week, the defender in the past few weeks has been chased by a number of clubs who contacted Celtic for the availability of his services.

On the back of successful negotiations, Bayer Leverkusen has won the race and has as a result signed Jeremie Frimpong from the Scottish Premiership giants.

The German Bundesliga side has signed the 20-year-old on a four-year deal and will be expected to provide a squad boost for the team.

“TRANSFER NEWS. Jeremie Frimpong joins the Werkself from Celtic on a 04-year deal!,” a club announcement has said today.

In the past, Jeremie Frimpong spent time with the academy of English Premier League side Manchester City.

He has played for the Dutch youth national teams in the past but can still play for the Black Stars of Ghana.
