JUST IN: Kotoko set to pay huge compensation to CK Akonnor after losing case before player status committee

Published on: 21 October 2019

The Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has ruled in favour of CK Akonnor in his case involving Kumasi Asante Kotoko and has ordered the club to settle all forms of compensations due the coach.

CK after leading the Porcupine Warriors to glory in the tier 1 of the Normalization Committee was subsequently shown the exit door after he rejected the club’s attempt to impose a technical director role on him.

He later returned the clubs properties to them but was never compensated for the termination of his contract together with three months salaries that had not been paid prior to his departure.

The case was taken before the player Status committee where Kotoko has now been found guilty.

Information reaching footballgaha.com indicates that the Player status committee has decided to see to it that Coach CK Akonnor will be paid every penny he deserves.

Kotoko is expected to be served a copy of the official ruling in the next 24 hours and will be obliged to do the needful to settle their former coach.
