Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko could be without as many as five top players this weekend when the team takes on Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

In what will be a Week 20 encounter of the Ghanaian top-flight league 2022/23 season, the Porcupine Warriors are travelling to Accra to face off with their bitterest rivals.

Before Asante Kotoko beat  Bechem United in midweek, the team disclosed that five players including midfielder Justice Blay are out with various injuries.

Subsequently, the five players missed the game.

“Maxwell Agyemang, Justice Blay, Yusif Mubarik, Isaac Oppong, and Rashid Nortey have all been ruled out of the game with different degrees of injuries,” part of a statement from Asante Kotoko said on Tuesday.

Today, checks have revealed that the above players are yet to recover from their injuries.

They are not expected to get back in shape in time for the Super Clash.

That game will be played on Sunday, March 5, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
