Justice Blay wins Nasco ‘Man of the Match’ award in Kotoko’s win against Hearts

At the end of Asante Kotoko's 2-1 win against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium today, midfielder Justice Blay has been named as the Nasco 'Man of the Match' for his superb performance on the afternoon. 

The Porcupine Warrior who is on loan from Medeama Sporting Club (SC) was handed a starting role by manager Maxwell Konadu to take charge of affairs in the midfield against the Phobians.

In what was a Match Week 6 fixture of the ongoing 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season, Kotoko who played as the away team took their chances and emerged as 2-1 winners. Justice Blay put the Reds in front after 11 minutes of play when he connected to a well-taken free-kick.

Though Joseph Esso pulled level for Hearts of Oak in the second half on the 63rd minute, it was not enough as Naby Keita converted a 90th-minute penalty kick to win the match for the visitors.

Assessing the performance of players at the end of the match, Kotoko midfielder Justice Blay has been adjudged the Naso 'Man of the Match'.

He goes home with a brand new smartphone plus a shaving clipper.
