Ghanaian youngster Justin Diehl scored in FC Koln U-21's 5-1 defeat to Fortuna Köln in the German Regionalliga West.
After 24 minutes, Fortuna Koln was already 3-0 up after Dominik Lanius's opening goal in the 7th minute and a brace from Henri Carlo Matter in the 9th and 24th minutes.
Justin Diehl and his teammates took control of the game but they remained clearly behind until the break.
The FC Koln U-21s did not give up in the second round. In the 60th minute, Justin Diehl hit the bottom edge of the bar with a long-range shot and thus had FC Koln's best chance up to that point.
A few minutes later, Diehl scored FC Koln's first goal of the evening with a low, direct free kick in the 69th minute.
FC Koln tried to get back into the final phase, but after two late goals by Danny Breitfelder and Leon Demaj in injury time, the clear defeat at the start was certain.
