Juventus set to offer swap deal to land Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey this summer

Juventus are set to offer midfielder Arthur Melo in an attempt to land Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey in the summer, according to reports.

The Ghanaian has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A with the Bianconeri ready to acquire his services before the start of the new season.

Mikel Arteta is said to to be a big admirer of Melo, who joined Juventus in a similar swap deal from Barcelona in 2020.

The 25-year-old is keen to leave Juventus in order to secure more playing time and boost his chances of making Brazil’s World Cup squad later this year.

Partey missed the final five weeks of the 2021/22 season through an injury he sustained in Arsenal's 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace at the beginning of April.

His absence was hugely felt as the Gunner missed out on Champions League qualification to arch-rivals Tottenham by just two points.

Partey has made 26 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions this season, scored two goals and provided one assist.
