Karela United coach Bismark Kobby Mensah has confirmed his resignation from the club.

The young trainer, who joined the club before the start of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign leaves the ‘Pride of the West’ after just eight matches into the current campaign.

Mensah, a member of the Black Galaxies technical team will not continue with Karela United in the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier league season.

In an interview with Kyfilla, the former Samartex gaffer confirmed he has resigned from Karela United but failed to disclosed the reason for his departure.

“It’s true I have resigned from the team [Karela United] but I don’t want to talk about why I have taken that decision, I have resigned.”

Despite failing to disclose why he has resigned from the club; it is said players of the club have refused to return to training after the World Cup break which has culminated to the coach’s resignation.

It is believed some of the players at Karela United are agitated over some unpaid salaries and bonuses hence their refusal to return to training after the FIFA World Cup break.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Karela United has been bought by astute Ghanaian lawmaker and leader of the Minority in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu and the team might be relocated from Ayinase to Tamale.
