It appears that RC Lens may be successful in retaining the services of their defensive stalwart, Kevin Danso.

Amidst the uncertainty surrounding the player's future, Austria's head coach, Ralf Rangnick, has hinted at the increasing likelihood of Danso remaining with the French club.

Napoli, the reigning Serie A champions, were interested in signing Kevin Danso as a defensive reinforcement. Danso attracted the interest of Neapolitan decision-makers with the possibility of succeeding Min-Jae Kim.

However, RC Lens's exorbitant financial demands blocked any fast sale.

RC Lens is keen to keep its assets, and the discussions demonstrate the club's faith in Danso's future.

Although the option of leaving is not fully ruled out owing to a pending contract extension, Kevin Danso appears to be staying with RC Lens. In an interview with Sport.ORF, Austria manager Ralf Rangnick stated that Danso is unlikely to leave Lens during the summer transfer window.

“He [Kevin Danso] currently seems more likely to stay at Lens, vice-champion of France and participant in the Champions League”

Last season Kevin Danso made 37 appearances, scored one goal, and assisted two in Ligue 1.
