Ghanaian international Kevin-Prince Boateng thought his side could have done better in their game against Hoffenheim on Saturday.

Boateng’s super goal was cancelled as Frankfurt drew 1-1 with Hoffeiham.

Boateng believes his side were unlucky to drop points after taking an early lead.

“It was difficult for us in the second half against the attacking quality Hoffenheim have. We were too late to the ball once and then conceded the equalizer,” he told eintracht.de.

“I don’t think it was a foul in the build-up to their goal, but we can’t make excuses about whether or not the ball was a couple of yards too far forward or too far back for the free-kick.

“Maybe we just need to be a bit smarter and stand in front of the ball to stop them taking it so that we can organise ourselves better at the back.

“They made the most of those few seconds to score. I had a bit of luck with my goal. You probably only catch the ball like that once in your life.

“If I’d hit it slightly differently it would probably have gone way over.”

The goal marked his second for the Club since joining in the summer transfer window.
