Kevin Prince Boateng's move to Schalke was a career low

Kevin-Prince Boateng had two disappointing seasons at Schalke 04 from 2013 to 2015, which he has subsequently regretted.

Kevin-Prince Boateng didn't know what to say about the two years with the Royal Blues when he left AC Milan for FC Schalke 04 in 2013 for a cost of ten million euros.

"I regret two things," he said two years ago.

"The first is that I left Hertha so early. The second thing is that I switched from Milan to Schalke at the time.

The former FC Barcelona player ended his football career last week Friday. He took to his official Instagram page to make the announcement.

"I love you. But that's it. Thank you football for everything,” the 36-year-old wrote on Instagram on Friday evening for a video showing the best scenes from his professional stations. The video is subtitled: "I was my biggest rival all these years,"

Boateng's biggest achievements with AC Milan were winning the Italian title and the Supercup in 2011. He won the English League Cup with Tottenham Hotspur in 2008.
