King Faisal turn to coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu after sacking head coach Jimmy Cobblah

Ghana Premier League side, King Faisal Football Club is in talks to appoint young tactician Ignatius Osei-Fosu as the new head coach for the first team.

This follows the sacking of head coach Jimmy Cobblah in the midst of the club’s struggles to get out of the relegation zone.

King Faisal appointed coach Jimmy Cobblah in October 2022 to come and help the side to escape relegation in the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.

While the gaffer managed to turn things around for the Kumasi-based club in the first few weeks of taking the job, things have now gone from bad to worse for coach Jimmy Cobblah.

King Faisal under him remains in the relegation zone after playing 23 matches this season.

On Sunday, the coach was seen distraught on the touchline when King Faisal suffered a disappointing 4-2 defeat to Kotoku Royals who are bottom of the Ghana Premier League table.

Now concerned that the team might be relegated, the management of King Faisal has sacked coach Jimmy Cobblah.

Reports suggest that former Dreams FC gaffer Ignatius Osei-Fosu is being considered for the King Faisal job.

If talks are concluded as expected by the close of today, the young tactician will be confirmed as the new King Faisal coach on Monday.
