Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho has described teammate Kobbie Mainoo as the club’s best player about the English-Ghanaian’s exploits in the FA Cup final.
The two teenagers were the scorers of the Red Devils two goals when Erik ten Hag’s team beat Man City 2-1 on Saturday to win the FA Cup.
Mainoo got on the end of a beautiful, flowing move to score the winning goal for United against City at Wembley.
Marcus Rashford sprayed a ball to Garnacho, who found Bruno Fernandes and after a stunning pass, Mainoo finished coolly beyond Stefan Ortega.
Garnacho told BBC One: "Incredible. The best player in the squad and he’s the youngest. We’re also good friends. I'm so happy for him."
He added: "Incredible. Nobody believed in us. But we’re a team, all together. We fought, the game of our lives."
Kobbie Mainoo has been a key player for Man United all season, one of the bright spots in the team.
He has since been handed a spot in England’s provisional squad for the 2024 European Championships.
