Kotoko and Hearts of Oak must sit up - Opoku Nti

Former Ghana international Samuel Opoku Nti has charged both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak to up their game following an unimpressive season.

The two most glamourous clubs have struggled in recent times despite winning the last two Premier League titles.

Both sides failed to go beyond the first round of their continental assignments, leaving the country with limited slots in Africa.

During the official launch of the Ghana Football School on Tuesday, May 17, 2023, the former Ghana international entreated both teams to sit up after failing to excel this season.

“Some of the teams have emerged, years back, it was Hearts of Oak and Kotoko but now, some of the teams have caught up. Aduana Stars is doing well and have taken the lead, I don’t know but if they continue like this way, they can win the league”

“Things have turned around and that tells you, the so called Kotoko and Hearts must sit up and correct the wrongs and do the right things. They must revisit their past to see the problem really is” he said.

The two teams are currently out of the top four teams in the Ghana Premier League. Hearts of Oak 5th with 45 points whiles Kotoko occupies 6th with 44 points after 30 matches.
