Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah has stated the Asante Kotoko are in a good state despite some recent turmoil at the club.

The Porcupine Warriors lost their CAF Champions League first leg match to Al-Hilal in the first leg.

They have also sacked head coach Maxwell Konadu in the past week and are looking for a new coach.

However, Amponsah believes that the club is in a strong position.

"Asante Kotoko are in a good state. I have said that the phase of Kotoko will change and I am still working towards that," he told Oyerepa FM.

"Rome was not built in a day but I know with time, we will get there. I have a task to complete and I am convinced will achieve our madate."
