Kotoko beat Samartex but we have a lot of work to do - Kotoko Assistant coach Orlando Wellington

Asante Kotoko assistant coach Orlando Wellington says the Porcupine Warriors defeated FC Samartex in their match week 22 fixture but the team has a lot of work to do.

Enock Morrison opened the scoring for the champions in the 18th minute before Rocky Dwanena netted adding the sec0nd goal 9 minutes later.

Asante Kotoko went into the break with a 2-0 cushioning and played exceeding well in the second half.

After missing several golden opportunities, FC Samartex finally pulled one back through Ebenezer Acquah in the 89th minute but the goal wasn't enough as Asante Kotoko held on to register their 9th win of the season.

"I feel very great but still we have a lot of work to do the second half they mount a lot of pressure on us. Because what I told them they should keep the ball in their opponent's half not our own half because they committed a lot of fouls against us. Only that our opponents couldn't utilize the fouls that they got against us," he said after the game.

"It will be a turning point if they see you play according to instructions and they be tactically disciplined it will be a turning point for the team. They deserve it because we have at least enough time to prepare the team and what I saw on the training grounds gave me the confidence that we are going to come out with either win or draw,"
