Kotoko celebrates George Amoako after winning GFA EXCO slot

Asante Kotoko has celebrated George Amoako for winning a slot on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council at the end of today’s electoral process ahead of the presidential polls tomorrow.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Porcupine Warriors contested for one of five of the available slots for the Ghana Premier League clubs together with six other aspirants.

At the end of the exercise, Mr. Amoako placed third with 10 votes behind Medeama SC Board Chairman Dr. Tony Aubynn as well as Ashanti Gold CEO Frederick Acheampong.

A post on Twitter from Asante Kotoko to congratulate their CEO shared, “Our Chief Executive Officer (CEO), George Amoako has been elected to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council. Hard work pays... CONGRATS, SIR”.

He is now eligible to serve on the Exco of the new GFA together with Oduro Sarfo of Berekum Chelsea, as well as Bechem United’s Kingsley Osei Bonsu who also amassed enough votes to earn slots.
