Nana Yaw Amponsah, the Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko has taken a swipe at his critics describing them as people with limited knowledge about football structures and management.

The young football administrator was criticised and came under intense pressure after sacking Maxwell Konadu in December 2020 after losing Great Olympics.

It has been reported multiple times that he is having a rocky relationship with the board of directors of the club after the club's elimination from the Caf Champions League and Confederations Cup.

But according to Mr Amponsah, there is no bad blood between him and the board and the fact that they dialogue on issues means there is an issue between him and the board.

“My critics don’t know how even the board operates. I will have a very good relationship with the board and there no problem.

“We to meetings for dialogue and because we are all coming from diverse background, we disagree on some issues but it does not mean we are enemies.

“We are all doing our best to ensure Kotoko get to the best position in Africa. There is no rift.
