Nana Yaw Amponsah has lauded interim Asante Kotoko coach, Abdul Gazale, saying the young trainer has done well.

Following the dismissal of Seydou Zerbo after losing to Medeama SC at the Baba Yara Stadium, the management of the club announced Gazale as the stop-gap coach until the end of the season.

The Porcupine Warriors, who are the defending champions have struggled to perform in recent games under Gazale and with just a game to end the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season. Kotoko sit 4th on the pile with 51 points.

Despite the uninspiring performance, Nana Yaw Amponsah who is the Chief Executive Officer of the club believes Gazale has done well.

“Abdul Gazale has done extremely well as Asante Kotoko's interim coach,” he told Wontumi Radio.

Asante Kotoko will wrap up the campaign with a home game against Dreams FC on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
