The experienced right-back recently completed a move to Guinean side As Kaloum Stars, leaving the captaincy position vacant.

Even though Annan had been tipped to succeed him after acting as vice-captain in the last couple of weeks, he had not yet been confirmed until Sunday when the team paid a courtesy call on their life patron, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace.

The Black Stars goalkeeper is now set to wear the armband for the side when they start their campaign in the upcoming edition of the CAF Champions League.

Felix Annan, 24, has risen through the ranks as one of the clubs best players in the past seasons if not the best following his transfer from West Africa Football Academy (WAFA).

Meanwhile, defender Augustine Sefa and winger Emmanuel Gyamfi have been named as Annan’s two deputies.
