Kotoko deserved more than a point from game against Karela Utd – Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum

The head coach of Asante Kotoko, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum rued missed chances on Sunday night after his team drew 1-1 against Karela United.

The Porcupine Warriors hosted the Round 3 opponent of the Ghana Premier League season at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Having conceded in the first half, Asante Kotoko had to labour in the second half to fight for a 1-1 draw in order to avoid a defeat.

Speaking after the game, Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum said he is not disturbed.

According to him, his team deserved more than a point after creating so many chances.

“If you look at the chances we missed and the way we played right from the first half to the end, especially in the second half, the chances we created and we missed, that wasn’t the result I was expecting,” Coach Ogum said.

He continued, “All that we have to do is to keep practicing more goal-scoring drills, giving them the confidence to be composed in front of the goal, we need to encourage them. We are creating many chances and it’s a good signal for the team.”

Up next for Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League, the team will take on Accra Lions next weekend.
