Kotoko Dubai pre-season: Razak Abalora, several other players left in Ghana due to visa issues

Goalkeeper Razak Abalora and six other players were left behind on Thursday, October 8, 2021, when Asante Kotoko travelled to Dubai to begin a pre-season training tour.

The Ghana Premier League giants have visited the United Arab Emirates to prepare for the upcoming 2021/2022 football season.

Although a total of 25 players were expected to travel from Accra yesterday, some documentation problems with the visa of seven players meant that they had to be left behind.

The players include Razak Abalora, Andy Kumi Francis, as well as Solomon Sarfo Taylor.

“Players Lamptey, Agyapong, Abalora, Amoako, Kumi, Taylor and Boateng couldn't travel with the team to Dubai yesterday due to some visa hitches.

“Officials are currently working to rectify the issues so we can join them with their colleagues today,” an official statement from Asante Kotoko said on Friday.

Meanwhile, the squad already in Dubai will hold a first training session later today.
