Some Asante Kotoko supporters have been spotted sitting dejected at the Kotoko International Airport after midfielder Fabio Dos Santos Gama failed to arrive in Ghana.
Before the Ghanaian local transfer window was closed, the Porcupine Warriors club completed the acquisition of the Brazilian midfielder to give the team a major squad boost.
Due to some documentation issues, Fabio Gama’s arrival in Ghana to link up with the Asante Kotoko team has been delayed.
Over the weekend, it was confirmed that the midfielder will finally land in Ghana on Monday morning at 11:00GMT.
In line with that, some fans of the club went to the Kotoka International Airport to give the Brazilian a resounding welcome.
Having stayed for hours, there was no show with reports according to Ashh FM indicating that Fabio Gama missed his transit flight from Ethiopia to Ghana.
It is now unclear when the new signing will arrive to begin his Kotoko career.
