Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has added his voice to the recent happenings at Asante Kotoko, saying it will be a bad decision for the Ghanaian giants to sever ties with coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.

This was after his side's 2-0 win over Kotoko in Dawu, extending the Porcupine Warriors' poor run to seven games without a win.

Goals by Sylvester Simba and Derrick Atta Agyei sealed the victory for Dreams FC, while Kotoko experienced their seventh loss in their previous nine league matches, which now ranks them 11th in the standings with 33 points.

“I don’t agree” he told Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com whiles responding to calls for the sacking of the one-time Premier league winner. “No one can tell me Prosper Narteh is not a good coach, he is a good coach. In football, there are moment and it can be positive or negative and that’s what happening with Ogum at the moment”

“Now things are not going as expected as Kotoko. You can’t make any signing or offload a player now so you have to comprise and use the players you have at your disposal now. I will urge all the stakeholders to support Ogum, playing body, and management until the season comes to an end so we can dialogue for the next campaign”

“The fear of failure has gripped the players, I saw it on the field of play when we played them. If the situation do not change, the players might feign injuries just to miss games”

“We cannot change the players at the moment. The squad available will have to finish the season, so they should forget about winning the league and ensure we are not relegated”

Asante Kotoko are now eleventh on the Ghana Premier League table with 33 points after 26 matches so far this season.

The Porcupine Warriors will play host to log leaders, Samartex in matchday 27 of the Ghanaian top-flight on Sunday.
