The head coach for Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu has admitted that his team needs to improve on their scoring to have a chance to win the Ghana Premier League title.

The Porcupine Warriors club is one of the few teams tipped as favourites to lift the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2020/2021 season.

After playing three matches this season, one major problem attributed to the Kumasi-based club has been their inability to score to kill off games.

Speaking in a post-match interview on Friday evening after Kotoko defeated Legon Cities FC 1-0, coach Maxwell Konadu shared that indeed his attackers need to work hard on taking chances.

“It's not easy but we can also agree with our strikers that they are, at least, scoring. Going forward, we need to work much harder to improve on our scoring rate,” the gaffer said.

Coach Maxwell Konadu continued, “It's is a difficult league and I know that we have to do much better if we want to win it.”

With just a win from the first three matches, Asante Kotoko now sits 5th on the standings of the Ghana Premier League.
