Sadick Adams says Kotoko's performance against Benin Champions Buffles FC du Borgou is a major confidence boost in their pre-seaaon preparations.

The striker calls it a pleasant experience to win an international friendly, albeit by a slim 1-0, and dominate proceedings in a way that excited the supporters.

"They (Buffles FC) are a strong side. That was the reason there were not too many goals though we played well today. It's a pre-season game and we are very happy with our performance. It boosts your moral when you play well and win in an international friendly game. This one is no different".

Sadick Adams, whose hatrick won Kotoko the 2017 MTN FA Cup, couldn't mark his return from injury with a goal as he missed a penalty in the first half.

"I know that I should have scored that penalty but I am nonetheless not so worried that I couldn't. I have been out injured for a over a month now and today's was my first game. I was just trying to come into the game and get my fitness back. It is good I missed a penalty in a friendly game and not a competitive game".
