Kotoko to complete Baba Yahaya and Michael Dwamena signing before transfer window closes

Midfield duo of Baba Yahaya and Michael Dwamena have been on the radar of the Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window.

The Porcupine Warriors are taking the necessary steps to make the team strong to compete in the upcoming campaign following a disappointing performance last-term.

Kotoko finished 4th on the league table and also missed out on the Ghana FA Cup competition last season.

The two-time Championship League winners has been in the market searching for quality players to strengthen their squad for the new season.

At the moment, the Porcupine Warriors has captured the services of eight players and are expected to make new additions before the closure of the transfer window on Friday, September 1, 2023.

Yahaya Dawuni, Nanabayin Amoah, Andrews Ntim Manu, Samuel Asamoah, Yussif Nurudeen Mohammed, Bernard Somuah, Henry Ansu and Kalo Quattara are the players to have successfully joined the Kumasi-based club.

Per sources, the Ghanaian giants will add former King Faisal midfielder Baba Yahaya and WAFA’s Michael Kyei Dwamena to their ranks before the transfer window is closed.

Baba Yahaya has already been training with Kotoko for the past weeks and expected to sign for the club.

The skillful midfielder is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with King Faisal FC after the 2022/23 league season.

Meanwhile, Dwamena has been on the wish list of Kotoko and it is believed coach Prosper Narteh is long-term admirer of the player.

The pair will sign for the Ghanaian powerhouse before the transfer window is shut.
