Kotoko to receive support from telecom giants MTN to complete Adako Jachie project

The Adako Jachie project of Asante Kotoko could be completed in the next two years.

Information gathered indicates that telecommunication giant MTN Ghana is set to provide support for the Porcupine Warriors to complete the project.

The administration of Dr. K.K Sarpong in 2013 secured financial support from MTN Ghana to work on the project.

The telecom giants presented a cheque of GH¢150,000 in aid of the completion of the Club’s administration block and training field at Adarko-Jachie before going on to invest GH¢375,000 within three years in the next three years.

Although the administration of Nana Yaw Amponsah came and did some work on the project, it is still uncompleted as rival fans use the lack of facilities to tease the Reds.

This week, reports suggest that MTN Ghana is returning next season as the headline sponsor of Asante Kotoko.

If the deal is reached, the club will reportedly support Asante Kotoko financially to complete the Adako Jachie project in the next year or two.

Life Patron of the Kumasi-based club, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II last week held engagements with former players and executives of the supporters group of the club.

He has urged them to get involved to see to the good of the club ahead of the start of the 2023/24 football season.
