The transfer negotiations between Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC and Medeama SC involving midfielder Justice Blay is in limbo, footballghana.com can report.

The highly-rated midfielder joined the Porcupine Warriors last year to fill in for Ricard Senanu who had picked up an injury prior to the club's participation in the CAF Champions League competition.

He quickly settled and has since been an integral part of the Asante Kotoko set-up. He played a key role in the team's recent CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup before the Ghana Premier League season started.

In the league, he has worked his socks off in every single game for the Reds and is adored by supporters of the club and followers of the league as well.

With his loan contract expiring, officials of Asante Kotoko has commenced talks with Medeama SC to try and secure his permanent signing to ensure they keep him in the team.

In the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, the latest transfer news coming in is that negotiations have stalled. It is understood that the last conversation between the two clubs was in March with the player clueless about whether he will continue with Kotoko or not.

As reported during the active period of the Premier League season, the midfielder has enjoyed his stay in Kumasi and wants to stay on as a Porcupine Warrior.
