Asante Kotoko's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah has disclosed that he was very excited when the team finished second in the Ghana Premier League in his first year.

According to him, that ranks as his greatest achievement since taking over as CEO of the Kumasi-based club.

“My greatest achievement was to finish 2nd in my first season at Asante Kotoko. I did not assemble that team and Maxwell Konadu wanted 20 players out of the squad to get a sizable team,” Nana Yaw Amponsah said in an interview with Wontumi Sports.

During the interview, the Asante Kotoko CEO also revealed that it has not been easy working for the club.

He stated that things that happen in the club sometimes make him cry.

“Asante Kotoko's job is difficult. The shenanigans around the club will make you cry. I have cried before as the CEO of the club. Prosper Ogum has cried before and Zerbo also cried,” Nana Yaw Amponsah revealed.
