Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, Wahab Adams has sustained a groin injury and has been declared a doubt ahead of the side’s assignment in the CAF Confederations Cup later this month.

The Ghana Premier League giants are bent on enjoying success on the continent and have been knocking in the last couple of years. They started the 2019/2020 campaign in the CAF Champions League but were unfortunately knocked out by Etoile du Sahel.

They have dropped to the CAF Confederations Cup playoff where they have been paired against Ivorian side FC San Pedro.

Ahead of the tie, the Porcupine Warriors have been dealt another injury blow. Center-back Wahab Adams has sustained a groin injury and could possibly miss the first leg of the tie with FC San Pedro.

Medical Staff for the Kumasi-based club, Emmanuel Osei Owusu confirmed the news in an interview on Kotoko Express App.

“He has a groin injury. It is the type that heals by itself, so we cannot put a definite time on when he would return”.

Meanwhile, preparations are still ongoing ahead of the first leg of the FC San Pedro Clash which has been slated for October 27.
