Luka Jovic scored the only goal of the game against Schalke as Frankfurt reached the German Cup final for the second year in a row, with the Eagles having lost 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund last season.

This team deserves a Nobel Prize for what they've achieved.

And, with Bayern waiting in the final Kovac will face the club who he has already agreed to join at the end of the current campaign.

He told the official Eintracht Frankfurt website: "What the boys did underlines their spirit and we're now in the final for the second straight year. This team deserves a Nobel Prize for what they've achieved.

"Of course, we know who we're going to come up against in Berlin, but at the moment the overriding emotion is pride."

Eintracht can be backed at 6/1 to lift the DFB-Pokal for the first time since 1988, with Bayern available at 1/10.

Meanwhile, RB Leipzig, who are 33/1 to finish in the Bundesliga top four, accept that they will have to wait until the summer to find out if they have any chance of signing loanee Ademola Lookman on a permanent basis from Everton.

Twenty-year-old Lookman has scored twice in seven appearances for Leipzig and has clearly made a big impression since joining in January.

Sporting director Ralf Rangnick told Kicker magazine: "If it were down to us, I'd already know the answer, but it's not only down to us. We have no clause in the contract.

"I think that we can only answer the question once the season is finished. It also depends on what happens at Everton."
