KP Boateng’s eye-catching performance enhance Besiktas’ Europa league qualification hopes

An impressive performance from KP Boateng on Thursday night inspired Besiktas to beat Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig to keep their hopes of a Europa League qualification at the end of the season alive.

In what was a Matchday 31 fixture of the season, the Ghana international was left on the substitute bench at the start of the game.

Just 6 minutes into the game, Tyler Boyd scored to give Besiktas the lead at the Vodafone Arena after a good start.

Unfortunately for the home team, they could not keep up with Kasimpasa, allowing the side to score two goals courtesy strikes from Bengali Fode Koita.

In need of a revival, the manager of Besiktas introduced KP Boateng to take the place of defender Gokhan Gonul.

That gamble to take off the defender and bring on an extra attacker helped with the former Black Stars forward scoring on the 49th minute to restore parity for the Black Eagles.

Late in the game, KP Boateng was in the thick of affairs again as he contributed to the play that led to Güven Yalcin netting a 90th-minute equalizer to hand Besiktas a crucial 3-2 win against Kasimpasa.

The victory has lifted the club into 4th position and on course to qualifying for the Europa League next season.

With 3 games left to end the season, the on-loan Fiorentina man will be very key for Besiktas.
