Ajax head coach, Erik Ten Hag, has stated the Kudus' first injury at the club, which came against Liverpool in the Champions League, turned out to be a nightmare for the player.
Kudus suffered the injury last season and struggled for fitness throughout the campaign. At the start of the new one, he suffered another injury but recovered to score against Sittard in a 5-0 victory.
"It's a nightmare for that boy. If you come to a club and you get seriously injured in the first few minutes of the Champions League. That lasts the whole season, you are behind the facts," says Ten Hag on the press conference after the game with Fortuna Sittard (0-5 win).
Kudus will hope to stay fit for the remainder of the new campaign.
