Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], George Afriyie has accused Kurt Okraku of failing to lay the fundamental foundations of ensuring various national teams excel.

Various national teams under the current administration led Mr Okraku has failed to perform at the various tournaments.

The Black Stars at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] in Cameroon exited the tournament at the group phase with just one point.

At the Mundial in Qatar, the West African country finished at the bottom of Group H with three points.

At the CHAN tournament in Algeria, the Black Galaxies suffered a 2-0 defeat against Niger to exit the quarterfinals.

However, Mr Afriyie believes Mr Okraku, who is the President of the country's football governing body must be blamed for the failure of the various national teams.

"What foundations has Kurt Okraku and his administration laid to ensure the various national teams excel and win trophies," he quizzed in an interview with Joy Prime.

"There is none so it is not surprising that the various national teams are failing to perform at the major tournaments.

"We need to have a plan for the various national teams and that is what Kurt Okraku is failing to realize," he added.
