Ghanaian striker Kwabena Owusu has backed his Cordoba teammates to keep fighting in the Spanish Segunda Division B following their 2-2 draw with Algeciras on Sunday.

In a match week 8 fixture at the Neuvo Mirador yesterday, Owusu and his side played very well but disappointingly had to settle for just a point at the end of 90 minutes.

A first half of many chances ended goalless but an improved performance from Cordoba saw Zelu opening the scoring for the away side on the 64th minute.

Black Stars forward Kwabena Owusu found the back of the net shortly after to give Cordoba a two-goal cushion.

They, however, squandered the two goals and conceded twice in the dying minutes of the game.

Antonio Sanchez and Ivan Turrilo got the goals for Algeciras to salvage a point for the home side.

In a Twitter post after the match, Kwabena Owusu has noted that Cordoba will continue fighting in the division in their bid to gain promotion to the top-flight division.
