Kwabena Owusu focused on returning to Black Stars

Qarabag FK forward, Kwabena Owusu has noted that his focus is one working hard to earn an invite to the Black Stars team.

The Ghana international has in the past year developed into a fine player where he has switched from playing his football in Spain to playing in Azerbaijan.

Last night, Kwabena Owusu was in action for Qarabag FK in the Uefa Europa League and managed to net his debut goal in the competition as his team last 1-3 to Villarreal.

In an interview today, the attacker says his recent form is part of his efforts to work hard to merit a call-up to play for his national team.

"I was happy when I scored against Villarreal yesterday but we couldn't win I hope we will bounce back and I pray that after the Europa league competition I will get offers and come back to the black stars of Ghana", the 23-year old told Hot FM.

He continued, "This Europa League competition is my target and I will be focused and play hard to come back into the black stars to serve my Nation am ever ready to come back into the black stars team".

Kwabena Owusu was part of the Ghana team that played at last year's Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt. If he keeps up his top form, he will likely return to the Black Stars team in no time.
